There were a number of Barcelona’s superstar squad that turned in underwhelming displays and the international press were quick to highlight this with lowly ratings for a host of Ernesto Valverde’s players.French newspaper L’Equipe, who are known for being rather harsh, gave former Liverpool favourite Luis Suarez, who was booed all night for his first leg celebrations, a mark of just 2/10.His fellow ex-Red, Philippe Coutinho, was also slammed by the French media outlet with a 3/10 given to his performance.L’Equipe’s famously harsh ratings have been released for last night’s match2

Lionel Messi was the only player in the visiting line-up to be marked as high as 6/10, with the majority only being rated half that score.Barcelona-based newspaper Marca were, understandably, even more ruthless in their assessments of the team and they rate with a score of one-three stars, but ten of the players did not even get a mark.Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets and Messi all collected a one-star rating. Madrid-centric Marcas front page carried the headline Fracaso Historico Historic Failure under a picture of the scoreboard at Anfield.Mundo Deportivos front page headline, meanwhile, simply read Sonrojo, which translates as Embarrassing.

Don't get the fantasy about Martial. He has talent but he occupies LW for which we already have Hazard and Hudson-Odoi.His main strengths are dribbling and cutting in 1v1 which would be nullified at RW.Not to mention that it's plain stupid to spend even 1 penny on him as he has 1 year left on his contract if he doesnt trigger the extension.Would rather go for Zaha.
